Spicy Mango Margarita

Is it cocktail time yet? 🍹 This Spicy Mango Margarita is worth taking the extra step of saving your mango pits! It is not too sweet, but has just the right balance of flavors from the tequila, mango and jalapeno topped off with a salt & sumac rim and a cute mango slice garnish.

  • 2 oz tequila
  • ½ oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lime juice
  • 1.5 oz mango syrup
    • mango pits
    • jalapeno tops
    • lime zest
    • 1c sugar
    • 2c water
  • Ice
  • salt/chili/sumac rim


  • Place skins, pits, lime zest, water and sugar to a small pot and bring to a boil. Reduce to a simmer and cook to reduce for 20-25 minutes.
  • Strain through a sieve and cool.
  • Combine tequila, triple sec, lime juice, mango syrup, and ice in cocktail shaker. Shake for 20 seconds.
  • Wet the rim of a glass and dip into the seasoned salt. Add ice and strain the drink into the glass.
